QUILTING WITH FRIENDS
Quilting with friends will be Tuesday, January 10th and Tuesday, January 24th, February 14th and February 28th. We start about 10AM, and you can leave whenever you need to. Come join us for a day of fun and relaxations. Bring your sewing machine to work on your projects, or bring handwork. Any sewing project is good. It doesn't have to be a quilt. This fun day is free!!
AMERICAN SEIWNG GUILD
The American Sewing Guild meeting will be at the store on Thursday, January 26th, and February 23rd.
HOOPSISTERS
We will start our Hoopsisters Club in February. The first meeting will be February 25th. We will always meet the 4th Saturday of the month. These are some exciting new things we will be making. I will have some samples in a couple of weeks. You must call to sign up for this club. Cost is $100.00 for the entire 10 months.
FUN AND DONE
We have done this class before, but I've been asked to do it again. This is a quilt that is entirely finished when you get done with it. You do not send it to the quilter. You quilt it as you sew the pieces. This is a fun and easy quilt to do. There are many "Fun and Done" patterns, we will be doing "Easy Diamonds" which is the easiest of the "Fun and Done Patterns". This class will be held on Saturday, January 21st starting at 9:30. Cost of the class is $20.00, plus $8.00 for the pattern.
You must call to register for the class. No refunds will be given after January 14th.
STRIP JACKET CLASS
We will be doing the strip jacket class once again. This is a 2 session class. The first session will be Saturday, February 11th starting at 9:30. The second session will be March 3rd, starting at 9:30. In the first session, you will cut your jacket out, larger than the pattern, and start sewing on the strips. You will need to have your strips cut before you come to class. You will have homework, which will consist of having all your strips sew on. The second session, you will cut your jacket to your pattern size, and sew your jacket together. This is a fun project, and you will have a beautiful jacket when you are finished. Class fee is $35.00, plus $4.00 for the pattern that we will have at the store on the day you come to class. You will be given a supply list when you sign up. No refunds given after February 4th.
Come join us on Sunday, February 5th for our big sale to match the big football game. You can pick out fabric and thread for a new project, to work on, while your husband or significant other watches the game. We will be open for this BIG SALE from 1PM to 5PM, so you will get home in time to sneak a peak at the score every now and then! Everything in the store will be 25% off, except for select Dakota Collectible designs that are already on sale, and sewing machines and sergers. All sewing machines and sergers will be 10% off our already low price. This is a one day sale only, limited to stock on hand. No rain checks will be given. So, mark your calendars for February 5th at 1PM for this awesome sale.
4 PATCH STACK AND WHACK
In this class, you will make 4 patch blocks, but none of them will be the same. This is the easiest of the stack and whack blocks. In March, we will offer the 8 patch stack and whack. The date for the 4 patch stack and whack is February 18th starting at 9:30. Cost of this class is $25.00. There is no pattern. You will be given a supply list when you sign up. This class is limited to 6 people, so sign up soon if you would like to do this class. No refunds will be given after February 11th.
THANGLES
It's time to start the new "Thangles Buck A Block" Block of the Month quilt for 2012. This year the quilt will be done in black, white, and red. I am working on the sample now, so it should be at the quilters in a week or so. With "Thangles", you come in monthly to pick up your block for that month. At that time, you will get the pattern for that month, and the 2 strips of fabric to make the block, for only $1.00. The first month will cost $6.00, because you pay for your pack of "Thangles" that will last you the whole year. Later on, you will come in to purchase the block setting fabric, the sashing, the borders, and the backing fabric. The size for this year's quilt is a twin, but if you want to make it bigger, all you have to do is make more blocks, or change the size of the border. You can come pick up your January kit anytime. If you don't know how to use "Thangles", I'll be glad to show you, just ask.
