MAY - JUNE -09 CLASS SCHEDULE
All classes
must be paid for in advance by calling with a credit card, or coming to
the store to sign up.
May 16th -
3 IN THE HOOP PROJECTS - This class is for anyone who has a 5 X 7 inch hoop,
to learn how to do in the hoop projects.
That's right, everything is done in the
hoop - EVEN THE ZIPPER!! You will
make a small purse, just the right size to put your drivers license, and
a few dollars in, to run to the grocery store, you will also make a memo
cover, with a pen holder, and you
will make a clear view case, that has a zipper that the machine sews
in!! This class will start at 9:30,
and will finish when you are finished!
The cost of this class is $20.00, plus $17.00 for the cost of the
designs. No refunds after May 9th.
May 20th -
SUDOKU QUILT - 1 TO 4 PM - Love it or hate it, the number puzzle is all
the rage. This fabric version is
much easier to solve. See what 9
different fabrics can do for you. Skill builders are fabric organization,
rotary cutting, assembly line construction, and precision piecing. This is a 47" square wall hanging,
or it could be used for a lap quilt.
Class fee is $25.00, and $12.50 for the required kit. Class size is limited. No refunds given after May 13th.
May 27th -
MAGIC SQUARE QUILT - 1 TO 4 PM - With one square of fabric and four
simple cuts, you have pieces for three different blocks. Have fun mining and matching colors and
playing with
your fabrics. Class
project is a small wall hanging that can be expanded to a full
quilt. Skill builders are rotary
cutting, and precision piecing.
Class fee is $25.00, and $12.50 for the required kit. No refunds give after May 21st.
May 28th -
SERGER QUILT - If you would like to make a quilt entirely by the se
rger (except for the binding) clear your
calendar for Thursday, May 28th at 9:30.
We would like for you to buy your pattern in advance, and have
your pieces cut before you come to class.
Class fee is $20.00, plus $10.95 for the pattern. No refunds given after May 21st.
June 13th -
VINYL SCREEN TOTE - 9:30AM - 3PM - Summer and beach are just around the
corner, so we are going to so a class in a vinyl screen tote. Not sure what vinyl screen is? We have the 4 different colors in the
store you can choose from. Class fee
is $20.00, plus the cost of the pattern.

June 15th -
DALCO DINENSIONS - IF YOU HAVE AN EMBROIDERY MACHINE, AND WANT TO SEE
SOMETHING THAT IS BRAND NEW TO THE EMBROIDERY INDUSTRY, COME TO THE STORE
ON MONDAY, JUNE 15TH AT EITHER 10AM, OR 6PM FOR A SNEEK PREVIEW OF THIS
PRODUCT. THIS WILL BE A FREE
TRUNK SHOW!! THAT'S RIGHT,
THIS IS FREE, AND

June 17th -
UNCLE ABE'S LOG CABIN QUILT - 1 TO 4 PM - This pattern is traditional and
ever popular because the pattern is so versatile. You will complete several blocks in
class and be on you way to a nice size wall hanging. Use what you learn to make a full size
quilt in the future. You will use
rotary cutting, and assembly line construction. Class fee is $30.00. You will be given a supply list upon
sign up. No refunds given after
June 10th.
June 20th -
SCREEN RULER HOLDER - Many of you have seen our screen ruler holder we
have in the store. Many of you
have expressed interest in making one for your sewing room, so we are
having a class. Kits will be
available for you to purchase.
Class fee is $20.00, plus the cost of the kit, which at this time
is undetermined, but probably under $10.00. No refunds will be given after June
13th.
June 24th -
June 29th - EMBROIDABLOCK TRUNK SHOW - Would you like to see how an embroidery
machine can help you piece a quilt and quilt it at the same time? Come to the store anytime during the
dates listed above to see these beautiful creations. This is a free traveling trunk
show. CDs will be for sale for
each of the quilts on display. Let
your embroidery machine do all the work for you!!
June 25th -
CUTWORK TABLE RUNNER - If you have an embroidery machine, this is the
class for you!! Anyone who has a 5
X 7 inch hoop can do this project.
you will be using a beautiful
cotton/linen table runner, and putting a butterfly and plant design on
it. This class will start at 9:30,
and end at 3PM. No refunds will be
given after June 18th.
June 30th -
SERGER PLACEMATS - YES!! You can make placemats
using only your serger!!. We have a sample of a finished one, if
you would like to stop by to see it.
Cost of this class is $20.00.
We will have the pattern for you at no charge. No refunds will be given after June
18th.
MONTHLY EVENTS
May 21 & June 18th - American Sewing Guild meets
at Klaiber's Sewing Center
at 6PM.
May 25 & June 8th & 22nd - Come to Klaiber's and sew with friends. We start at 10AM & finish whenever
you need to leave.
